As a veteran, I understand the importance of providing support and resources to those who have served our country. That's why I'm so proud of the accomplishments of the war veterans group in Dripping Springs, TX. This group has created a permanent retreat and resource base, the Patriots' Hall of Dripping Springs, to provide veterans and their families with the support they need. The Patriots' Hall of Dripping Springs is located just 20 miles from Austin, making it an ideal spot for veterans from all over Central Texas to come together.
The board behind this project was inspired by Kathryn Chandler, a Dripping Springs resident and daughter of a Vietnam veteran. The goal of the Patriots' Hall is to provide rotating art classes, therapeutic workshops, off-site field trips, networking opportunities, motivational speakers, family reunions, VA claims assistance, and their own wellness center. The board has also established Veterans Memorial Park in the city of Dripping Springs to commemorate Central Texas veterans. This year, TR Charity Collective will donate all contributions to both the Special Forces Charitable Trust and the Dripping Springs Independent School District Athletics Department.
